The Carpet From Hell

My landlady is not, by the way, the moron who put carpet in the bathroom. The house is 60 years old and Mrs. K's parents bought the house 30 years ago. She started taking renters when her mom died 12 years ago. She says that the carpet was there when her parents bought the place. I jokingly asked it the house had previously been owned by insane hippies tripping on LSD. Then I asked if she'd mind if my son and his friend and I removed the carpet. She said it was fine but I wonder if she's starting to regret it. It is UGLY underneath!
